Building Strength, Hope & Resilience in Teens

The teenage years can be both exciting and overwhelming. At Hope’s Destiny, we understand the unique challenges young people face today. From academic pressure and identity development to social expectations and emotional struggles, navigating adolescence isn’t always easy. Our Teen Treatment Services are designed specifically to support adolescents ages 14 to 18 who are navigating mental health conditions or co-occurring disorders.

We provide a safe, structured, and compassionate environment where teens feel heard, respected, and empowered—no matter where they are on their journey to wellness.

Our Levels of Care for Teens

Our comprehensive continuum of care allows us to meet your teen exactly where they are, providing the right level of support at the right time. As your teen progresses in their recovery, we can adjust their level of care to match their changing needs.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is our most structured level of care, providing intensive support while allowing teens to remain connected to home life. The program runs 5 days a week for 4 to 5 hours daily in a structured therapeutic environment. Teens participate in daily group therapy sessions, receive individual therapy 2-3 times weekly, and engage in weekly family therapy. We provide comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management, along with academic support and coordination. The typical duration of PHP for teens is 3-4 weeks, though this can be adjusted based on individual needs.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our IOP offers focused therapeutic support while maintaining flexibility for school and other activities. The program offers three-hour sessions, 3 to 5 days per week, combining both group and individual therapy approaches. Teens attend weekly family sessions and receive regular psychiatric check-ins. Life skills development is woven throughout the program. Most teens complete IOP within 6-8 weeks, though timing can be adjusted based on individual progress and needs.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Our OP provides ongoing support for teens through a flexible program that adapts to their school schedules. Treatment includes weekly individual therapy sessions and monthly family therapy, with the option to participate in group therapy. When needed, we also provide regular medication management services. Our Teen Outpatient Program typically runs for 3-6 months, though duration can be adjusted based on each teen’s progress and needs.

A Safe Space to Heal and Grow

At Hope’s Destiny, we understand how difficult it can be to watch your teen struggle. You don’t have to face it alone. Whether your teen is dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or co-occurring challenges, our team of compassionate professionals is ready to help them rediscover their strength and potential today.

How We Help

We recognize that each teen’s journey with mental health and co-occurring disorders is unique. Our comprehensive treatment approach combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion, creating a foundation for lasting healing and growth. Here’s how we support your teen’s journey to wellness:

  • Biopsychosocial Assessment – Every teen begins their journey with a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. This evaluation explores their emotional, psychological, physical, and social health. By understanding their history, current struggles, and environmental influences, we can create a personalized treatment plan that meets them where they are.
  • Psychiatric Evaluation – If needed, teens will also meet with a licensed psychiatric professional for a diagnostic evaluation. This helps identify or clarify any mental health conditions and determine if medication might be a helpful part of their treatment plan.
  • Individual Therapy – Our licensed therapists provide personalized one-on-one counseling tailored to each teen’s unique needs and challenges. Through these weekly sessions, teens develop deeper self-awareness, learn healthy coping strategies, and gain the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
  • Group Therapy – Our structured group sessions bring teens together in a safe, therapeutic environment where they can connect with peers facing similar challenges. Through facilitated discussions, skill-building activities, and mutual support, teens develop stronger social connections, practice healthy communication, and learn they’re not alone in their struggles. Groups focus on topics like anxiety management, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and positive coping skills.
  • Family Therapy – Our licensed therapists work collaboratively with teens and their families to strengthen relationships, improve communication patterns, and create a more supportive home environment. Through regular family sessions, we help parents better understand their teen’s challenges while giving teens tools to express their needs effectively. We address family dynamics, establish healthy boundaries, and develop practical strategies that promote healing for the whole family system.
  • Medication Management – Our board-certified psychiatric team provides comprehensive medication evaluation, prescription, and ongoing monitoring when medication is part of a teen’s treatment plan. We take a thoughtful, measured approach to medication, carefully weighing benefits and risks while keeping parents fully informed and involved in decisions. Through regular check-ins, we assess medication effectiveness, make adjustments as needed, and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes with minimal side effects.
  • Educational Support – We understand that managing academic responsibilities during treatment is crucial for teens’ long-term success. Our dedicated educational coordinators work directly with schools, teachers, and guidance counselors to ensure continuity in your teen’s education. Through study skills coaching, organizational strategies, and academic counseling, we help teens maintain their educational progress while prioritizing their mental health.
  • Life Skills Training – Through structured workshops and hands-on activities, teens learn essential skills like stress management, healthy decision-making, time management, and conflict resolution. Our experienced facilitators guide teens through real-world scenarios, helping them build confidence in handling life’s challenges independently. From personal wellness and financial literacy to career planning, we prepare teens for successful transitions into young adulthood while supporting their mental health journey.

Our integrated approach ensures that every aspect of your teen’s well-being is addressed, creating a strong foundation for lasting recovery and emotional wellness.
