Jisu Pyo, LAPC, NCC

Jisu Pyo, LAPC, NCC, is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who provides compassionate, trauma-informed counseling to adolescents and adults navigating mental health and substance use concerns. With experience across Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient levels of care, Jisu works with clients experiencing a range of concerns, including substance use, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, grief, and challenges related to coping and overall well-being.

Jisu approaches counseling from a trauma-informed, multicultural, and person-centered perspective, recognizing that each client’s experiences, identities, relationships, and cultural backgrounds shape the way they understand themselves and navigate the world. She strives to create a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace.

Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based interventions and therapeutic strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based approaches, psychoeducation, and skills-focused interventions. Jisu emphasizes collaboration with clients and works to help them develop practical coping strategies, strengthen emotional awareness and regulation, build insight, and work toward meaningful, individualized goals.

She has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy, as well as completing clinical assessments, treatment planning, case management, and care coordination. She is committed to continuing to grow as a clinician and to providing care that is culturally responsive, compassionate, and grounded in each client’s unique needs and strengths.
